REWIND UR DAYS...

Gone are the GREENY days...
When the school reopened in June,
And we settled in our new desks and benches.
When we queued up in book depot,
And got our new books and notes.
When we wanted two Sundays and no Mondays,
yet Managed to line up daily for the morning prayers.
We learnt writing with slates and pencils, and Progressed
To fountain pens and ball pens and then micro tips.
We began drawing with crayons and evolved to Colour pencils and finally sketch pens.
We started calculating first with tables and then with Clarke's tables
and advanced to calculators and computers.
When we chased one another in the corridors in Intervals,
and returned to the classrooms drenched in sweat.
When we had lunch in classrooms, corridors, Playgrounds,
under the trees and even in cycle shed.
When all the colors in the world,
Decorated the campus on the Second Saturdays.
When a single P.T. period in the week's Time Table,
Was awaited more eagerly than the monsoons.
When cricket was played with writing pads as bats,
And Neckties and socks rolled into balls.
When few played "kabadi" and "Kho-Kho" in scorching sun,
While others simply played "book cricket" in the confines of classroom.
Of fights but no conspiracies, Of Competitions but seldom jealousy.
When we used to watch Live Cricket telecast,
In the opposite house in Intervals and Lunch breaks.
When few rushed at 1:45 to "Conquer" window seats in our School bus.
While few others had "Big Fun", "Chock-o-bar","kulfi ice" and "Pepsi" at 2:00 Clock.
Gone are the days Of Sports Day, and the annual School Day,
And the one-month long preparations for them.
Gone are the days of the stressful Quarterly, Half Yearly and Annual Exams, and the most enjoyed holidays after them.
Of tenth and twelfth standards, when we spent almost the whole year writing revision tests.
We learnt, we enjoyed, we played, we won, and we lost, We laughed, we cried, we fought, we thought.
With so much fun in them, so many friends, So much experience, all this and more.

Injuring INFLATION

INFLATION- it has become threatening issue now a days

Everywhere there is a raise in price ..
Rich people can afford, but what the poor can do?
Even the middle class can manage somehow...(though it is tuff only).
Right from safety pin to sophisticated cars the price has shoot up .

How to stop or saturate this inflation level?

Management professionals say" it s scathe to the country if the inflation rate cross 10%., but the tv channels show that the current rate fluctuates from 10-13%.
Everyone can reason that inflation has occurred due to so many reasons like"

1.the slow down in US market

2.insufficient resources

3.overpopulation

Aah! it occurred .!!
Now v can only think about how to saturate it?
What can b done to stop it?
Who s going to elicit the solution? THE GOVT? never!!!
Becoz the govt even raised the ticket prices (in name of delux buses).
Actually who wants such delux or air conditioned buses? .
If the basic needs of human is hard to get, then how can v survive?

Later if some suicidal attempts occur somewhere due to inflation, the govt 'll arrange for "kanji thotti " to fee d the poor across villages.
Survival has become tougher now a days..

"Rich getting richer n poor becoming poorer".

If this inflation rate increase n prevails, then the rich 'll also become poor one day.

hooligans threat

It is really shameful that TamilNadu police has not arrested the hooligan who kills the watchmen in main cities of Chennai. It is very shocking that the same method has been followed to murder wherever it happened. Anna nagar n vadapalni had been the main focus .Watchmen are people who guard the colonies and killing them is a big stupefaction. Police says "this could have been done by the psycho killer" but, I wonder how a psycho can go cruel and do such things that the police could not trace. Is this an Era of killing competition?
As far i guess this all should have been done by a motivated killerN
not one or two, around 7-10 murders had occured in a similar style. What is this Tamil Nadu Police doing? Are they really searching the hooligan or busy in search of some heros in Tamil industry like Indian-Kamalhasan or Anniyan-Vikram to find the killer. After the consecutive murders, as usual our inbox fills with threat msg that psycho killer roaming in your area,my area, blah blah..Anyhow the police cannot safeguard the entire city, we the occupants of the city must be alert everytime and help police in catching the killers as they can't run fast with their bellies out.

24 march2007

24 march 2007 - a special day in my life which pushed me from college life to a corporate life. Yeah that was the day I got placed in Satyam computers services ltd., On 22nd march 2007, Thursday, our class started with usual gossips and confab. At 12 noon, our placement officer Mr.AJAY entered the classroom and informed students, to come n collect the hall ticket at 1 pm for the Satyam placement drive to b held at SA ENGG COLLEGE, the very next day...
I was consciously absent and had no idea how to prepare for it. After returning home and browsing for some ques paper pattern in Freshers world website, I was confident that i can face the first level test without fear.

23 march, Friday, we all friends met at Guindy and reached SA ENGG COLL. We reached the test hall at 10 and gave our test. It contained totally 15 ques out of which at least, 4 must be right and there was negative markings too. I did 5 sums correctly which were of logical, probability, figure sum and a math ques. Then I attempted all d 15, in a thought that if at least 2 is correct then 8 can b wrong. After waiting for a long time, the aptitude test results were announced at 4 pm. I was praying god that I should get rejected on that day(Friday) or get placed on the next day(Saturday). Somehow me and Shalini cleared the test.

On 24 march, Saturday, myself n shalu visited SA engg coll for next rounds. We heard that still 2 more rounds to go. Knowing nothing about the GD topics, we sat idle on the lawns with shivering hands . Then in the GD round, my team was given the topic "is dress code to b followed in coll?". We were totally 10 members in our team and we together had only 8 min to discuss on the topic.A gal from savitha engg coll initiated the GD and said agreed that dress code should be followed, then continuing her a guy and gal, I was struggling long to get my chance to talk and whence got,I just disagreed with my friends on the topic. I said "dress is a part of college life, if v go abroad or on-site to represent our company or country v must wear formals only,so its not much necessary to b followed in college life"...after fighting for 8 min and exiting d room I felt like, I was in a coma for sometime and came out. I was unable to recollect whatever happened in the GD session. Shalini also experienced d same. After the GD results were announced, I was quite normal, but tears rolled on shalini's cheeks which reflected too on me. In the mean time v gone through and referred some topics in c, c++, java, blah blah..Atlast I was the first to be called for hr round. That hr fired so many ques, I tried to ans many and say it was almost like a stress interview. I was confident that I shall get placed in Satyam. That evening was very worst that v did not have lunch, or any snack from morning, just filled our stomach with college well water. When the final results was announced at 9.45 pm,our names were called out in series priya, shalini, arsha booshan. No limits for my happiness on that night, we became "satyamite"!. It was one of the happiest moment which I can never forget in my life.

Thanks to my college, placement officer, and to SATYAM as well.

Need betterment @ govt offices

It was one fine day, me and my friend visited "JAYAPRAKASH NARAYANA MAALIGAI",  the so called employment exchange located at santhome, chennai which literally says "Employement to everyone". I was shocked to look at the crowd where a mass of people of all ages were already waiting to get their new subscription cards, renewal cards..blah blah....

We inquired about the procedure and finally found the place where the forms for freshers were kept. After filling the necessary details in the form, we submitted it. The officer asked us to wait outside to collect our cards. I found many girls from outskirts of city who failed to submit their necessary proofs like ration card, community certificate etc, were told to make a call to their home and send d copy of proof via a fax machine. I was happy to hear that officer's suggestion to those girls. But, happened what? "powercut" announced by tamil nadu govt for an hour. Those girls were in a hope that they could take print out after an hour, unfortunately, a transformer sparkled for a while and it was again a power cut thatlasted for a long time.

And there was no proper waiting place for the people as everyone was supposed to wait outside which looked like "people are hanging towards the government for their job". Does it look good? Atlast when the power came the officer called out d names and issued their respective cards. It was funny as he called the name akila as"aala", vijayarani as "jayarani" and made so much of confusion. My name and my friend's name were called in the last moment and he handed our card. As the clock stuck 4 pm, everyone dispersed from that place and the office was closed. I wish that Tamil Nadu Govt can better improve their office premises with
1) place to rest [for public not officers]
2) drinking water and rest rooms
3) uninterrupted power supply
4) computerised methods
5) last but not d least, respect the public
